Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to serve as the SVP, Head of BRCM (Business Risk and Control Management) Policy Operationalization, specifically focused on Anti-Money Laundering (AML). This role is critical in ensuring that UOB (Thai)s AML policies and regulations are effectively translated into practical, sustainable, and auditable operational processes across the organization, mitigating financial crime risks.

Job Description

  • Operationalization of GC policy and procedures
  • Review Group AML/CFT procedures and regulatory requirements and ensure ground process is aligned
  • Review BU SOPs with AML processes to ensure AML requirement are addressed
  • Partner with Compliance and frontlines to ensure comprehensive review of any AML/CFT Policy and Procedures revision (As part of AML uplift 2.0, there will be more SOPs and framework to create/update/maintain e.g. same fish controls, SOW, cross-BU coherence, C2C, etc.)
  • Work with AML Ops, MO, frontline to identify and address process gaps resulting from policy changes; work with process owners to ensure alignment with AML policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in projects as PFS AML SME

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Law, or related fields.
  • Minimum 1015 years of experience in business risk, internal control, compliance, or operational risk functions.
  • Proven track record in leading risk and control initiatives at a strategic level within financial services or regulated industries.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks, operational risk, and control design.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, control testing, and issue remediation.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and governance standards (e.g., BOT, AMLO, SEC).
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify risk exposures and control gaps.
  • Strong data interpretation and reporting skills to support risk-based decision-making.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring key risk indicators (KRIs) and control metrics.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Thai and English.
  • Ability to influence and drive a risk-aware culture across business units.
