Job Scope –
- The Senior System Analyst – Finance is responsible for analyzing finance and accounting business requirements and translating them into effective system solutions.
- Act as a key bridge between Finance, Accounting, Business Users, IT, Developers, and external vendors to ensure systems support business requirements, financial controls, and compliance.
- Lead finance system analysis, process improvement, system integration, testing, and implementation activities across the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes through automation, digital transformation, data analytics, and system optimization.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead business and system analysis for Finance and Accounting systems, including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets
- Cost Accounting
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Financial Reporting
- Work closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, requirements, and future needs.
- Translate finance business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Analyze and improve finance processes to enhance:
- Efficiency
- Accuracy
- Internal controls
- Compliance
- Automation
- Design and document finance system workflows, process flows, data flows, interfaces, and integration points.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
- Functional Specifications
- System Requirements Specifications (SRS)
- Process Flow Diagrams
- Use Cases
- Data Mapping
- User Requirements
- Analyze integrations between ERP, Finance, Banking, Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, and other enterprise systems.
- Work with developers, solution architects, data teams, and vendors to ensure finance solutions are technically feasible and aligned with business requirements.
- Support ERP and finance system implementation, enhancement, upgrade, and migration projects.
- Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including:
- Test scenarios
- Test cases
- Defect tracking
- Issue resolution
- Business validation
- Ensure financial data integrity and consistency across integrated systems.
- Support finance reporting, dashboards, and data requirements, including management and statutory reporting.
- Identify system gaps, process risks, dependencies, and opportunities for automation and digital transformation.
- Support Finance teams in implementing internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance within system processes.
- Review system designs and development outputs to ensure they meet approved finance requirements and quality standards.
- Facilitate workshops with Finance, IT, business users, vendors, and other stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to System Analysts and project team members on finance processes and system analysis.
- Support Project Managers with scope definition, estimation, planning, risk management, and change management.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve finance processes, user experience, reporting, automation, and operational efficiency through technology.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Business Information Systems
- Or a related field
Experience
- 10-12 years of experience as a Finance System Analyst, Business System Analyst, ERP Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience working with Finance and Accounting functions in a technology environment.
- Experience with ERP implementation, enhancement, integration, or system transformation projects.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting processes.
- Strong experience in system and business analysis.
- Strong requirements gathering, analysis, prioritization, and management skills.
- Experience with ERP/Finance systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Good understanding of:
- GL, AP, AR
- Fixed Assets
- Cost Accounting
- Budgeting and Forecasting

- Financial Reporting
- Experience with system integration, APIs, databases, and data flows.
- Experience with SQL and data analysis is preferred.
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting/BI tools is preferred.

- Experience working with external vendors and third-party technology providers is preferred.
