Job Description

The aCommerce system engineers are key to providing a solid customer service experience within a fast growing set of systems. The persons in this role will be responsible for hosting eCommerce sites of some of the biggest brands in Southeast Asia primarily hosted in Amazon Web Services. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to experiment with newly emerging technologies and practices while ensuring the cloud is a safe home for our customers and shoppers.

Duties and responsibilities

Design e-commerce site deployments from application servers down to the virtual network. This includes managing resource expansion and contractions in light of customer sales campaigns
Build out the monitoring and capacity measurement of these sites to ensure high availability
Work with application engineering teams to build repeatable, reliable systems for software teams that automate the deployment and test workflow
Diagnose and provide fixes for production issues related to the Application servers down to networks and infrastructure.
Responsible for rolling out and maintaining core Magento services.

Capabilities

2+ year of experience in a systems engineering or similar roles
Ability to communicate effectively in written English as aCommerce works in multiple countries in Southeast Asia. Oral English skills will be leveraged daily.
Experience with configuring networks, VPNs including security practices
Demonstrated hands-on experience with Linux Operating Systems and configuring them for high availability
Experience with configuration management software such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible is a plus
Experience working with Amazon Web Services including VPC, EC2 and RDS services preferred.
Ability to work in a dynamic work environment using Agile lifecycle methods.
Demonstrated ability to quickly troubleshoot issues in high pressure situations
Experience with Magento is a plus
Fluent in Thai with Good communication in English
