Plan and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities through proper application of Thai tax laws and regulations, including cross-border transactions.
Manage tax risks for Thailand entities, including VAT positions and efficient utilization of withholding tax (WHT).
Experience in VAT apportionment, particularly within the logistics industry, would be an advantage.
Implement tax planning and transfer pricing arrangements in compliance with relevant regulations.
Ensure accurate and timely forecasting of effective tax rates for Thailand entities and support accelerated tax reporting close.
Oversee tax compliance, reporting, and filing for Group companies in Thailand, including: Reviewing monthly tax computations and returns prepared by Finance teams (VAT, WHT, and SBT).
Reviewing mid-year and annual corporate income tax computations.
Review current and deferred tax provisions.
To assist tax manager to manage all tax issues/ audits/ BOV/ litigation relating to all tax areas (CIT,VAT,WHT,SBT, Stamp duty and etc.)
Ensuring timely and accurate submission of all direct and indirect tax returns to tax authorities, as well as proper filing in the Tax Database.
Act as a key business partner to operational and functional teams, providing tax advice and serving as a trusted internal tax advisor.
Be responsible for identifying, documenting, and quantifying uncertain tax positions.
Establish and enhance systems and processes for effective tax risk management for Thailand entities.
Support special tax projects, such as implementation of e-Tax Invoice, e-Receipt, e-Withholding Tax, e-Stamp Duty, specific transaction reviews, tax health checks, and tax restructuring initiatives.
Serve as the main point of contact for all tax-related matters.
Review tax implications in contracts and agreements.
Provide ongoing and ad-hoc support to the HQ tax function.
Research and interpret Thai tax treaties to maximize available treaty benefits and protections.
Liaise with tax authorities and external professionals and provide support during tax audits.
Manage relationships with external tax advisors and consultants.
Lead and coordinate tax-driven business initiatives at both local and regional levels.
Requirements:
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
Minimum of 8 years of experience in taxation.
Proactive, hands-on (can-do) attitude with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience in a fast-growing or start-up environment is an advantage.
