Job Scope:
Tax compliance
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of Thai direct tax returns (PND50 and PND51) filing.
- Monitor compliance status of other Thai taxes under the Revenue Code (value added tax, withholding tax, specific business tax and stamp duty).
- Ensure compliance with all transfer pricing regulations (policy setting/update, compliance with requirements for transfer pricing disclosure form, master file, local file, country by country notification and report, etc.).
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of compliance activities under Pillar 2 requirements e.g. the Globe Information Return (GIR).
Tax advisory
- Provide insights and recommendations on tax implications if business decisions and transactions
- Participate in special projects related to mergers, acquisitions and other strategic initiatives from a tax perspective.
- Manage coordination with external tax advisor and provide vendor's assessment of each project
- Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax stakeholders clearly and concisely
- Support the implementation of tax compliance systems and software (e.g., data preparation to support Pillar 2)
Tax accounting
- Ensure no material misstatement in tax assets and liabilities presented in the audited financial statements of the Group.
Tax audit
- Respond to tax related inquiries and requests from government agencies, including but not limited to Thai Revenue Department, the Board of Investment, the Customs Department, etc.
- Assist in resolving any tax disputes or discrepancies that may arise.
Tax strategy and policy/framework
- Oversee the Group's tax compliance and governance framework by establishing and maintaining tax governance policies and procedures.
- Identify gaps between the existing policies/frameworks and the current business activities and update such policies/frameworks as necessary.
- Investigate any tax non-compliance incidence and provide recommendation for preventive, detective and corrective controls.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the Group.
- Liaise with internal auditor in relation to tax activities.
Qualification
- :Bachelor's degree in accounting or related fields
- .Minimum 5 years of experience in related fields with strong accounting knowledge
- .CPA or experience with Big 4 is preferred
- .In-dept knowledge of Thai tax laws and regulations (both existing and upcoming regulations)
- .Basic knowledge of global tax regulations (e.g., OECD guidelines)
- .Basic knowledge of good governance and internal control
- .Good communication and presentation skill (both Thai and English)
- .Think creatively, a thirst for knowledge, confidence, with a strong business sense
