Responsible for the design, development and validation of rubber compounds for all components of Truck and Bus Radial (TBR) tires, including tread, sidewall, belt, inner liner, etc. Lead the full process from lab formulation, pilot trial to mass production and industrialization.
Formulation Performance Optimization & Upgrade
Continuously optimize existing compound systems focusing on key performance indicators: wear resistance, tear resistance, low rolling resistance, high durability, heavy-load performance and high-temperature resistance, to improve product competitiveness and cost efficiency.
New Material Evaluation & Application
Lead testing, evaluation and industrial application of new rubbers, reinforcing materials, environmental additives and green materials; establish raw material qualification and alternative solutions.
Process Coordination & Problem Solving
Cooperate with mixing, extrusion, calendering, curing and other processes to define rubber processing parameters; solve technical issues in mass production such as scorch, dispersion, curing and physical property fluctuation.
Competitor Benchmarking & Technology Tracking
Conduct dissection, formulation analysis and performance benchmarking of competitive tires from leading enterprises; track global TBR formulation technology trends and deliver technical improvement proposals.
Standard & Documentation System Development
Establish and revise technical standards and specifications for TBR formulations, raw materials and rubber testing; build complete formulation databases, test reports, technical patents and project documents.
Market & Quality Technical Support
Support marketing, after-sales and quality departments by analyzing market complaints, road test data and failure modes; provide technical solutions from a formulation perspective.
Technical Team Capability Building
Guide junior formulation engineers; share testing methods, analysis logic and project experience to improve overall team R&D capability.
Job Requirements
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree or above in Polymer Materials and Engineering, Rubber Engineering, Materials Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or related fields.
Core Working Experience (Mandatory)
At least 5 years of professional working experience in TBR compound formulation R&D within the tire industry, from top-tier tire manufacturers including Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Hankook, Maxxis, Cheng Shin, Zhongce, Double Coin, Giti, etc.
Professional Competencies
Proficient in compound principles, material systems and performance control for all TBR tire components
Skilled in rubber physical property testing, dynamic mechanical analysis, DOE and data analysis
Familiar with full tire manufacturing processes: mixing, extrusion, calendering, curing; with strong on-site problem-solving skills
Practical experience in competitor analysis, material reverse engineering, cost reduction and performance improvement
Project & Quality System
Familiar with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and other quality tools; able to independently lead formulation development projects and achieve mass production transfer.
Language & Tools
Proficient in MS Office; good English reading and writing skills to access technical literature and standards; experience with PLM or formulation management systems is a plus.
Soft Skills
