Team Manager – GSSC Data & Digital Enablement is a strategic role within our Global Shared Service Center (GSSC), accountable for strengthening the end-to-end accounting data landscape and digital capabilities that support our internal customers across multiple Business Units (Hotel, Food, Manufacturing, Lifestyle, and others).

The primary objective is to ensure a Single Version of Truth for finance and accounting data by establishing robust data governance, clear ownership, and strong data quality controls across master and transaction data (e.g., chart of accounts, cost centers, vendor/customer, product/material, intercompany, and close-related datasets). This role embeds new tools and practical AI to help GSSC teams quickly detect trends, identify abnormal transactions, prioritize investigations, and resolve issues efficiently—while maintaining strong controls, auditability, and compliance with group accounting and data policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Governance & Framework:

  • Accounting Data Governance: Define and implement governance for finance and accounting master and transaction data to improve accuracy, consistency, and traceability across Business Units and the GSSC.
  • Data Maintenance Partnership: Work closely with GSSC team leads and IT to manage finance and accounting master and transaction data maintenance (set-ups, changes, validations), ensuring timely turnaround, proper controls, and clear ownership across Business Units.
  • Controls, Compliance & Integrity: Implement data quality checks, reconciliations, audit trails, and workflows to mitigate risks from data errors and ensure alignment with group accounting policies and reporting standards.

Process Excellence & Business Analysis:

  • Process Optimization: Analyze accounting and shared service workflows (e.g., payment, tax, reconciliations, intercompany, master data maintenance) to remove manual work, reduce cycle time, and strengthen continuous monitoring and exception management.
  • Business Requirements: Translate the needs into clear functional requirements, controls, automation, and analytics use cases—especially exception monitoring, anomaly detection, investigation workflows, and standard root-cause analysis templates (definitions, mappings, controls, and acceptance criteria).

Digital & Analytical Enablement:

  • Trend & Exception Analytics: Develop scalable datasets and analyses that help GSSC teams spot trends and detect abnormal transactions early (e.g., unusual postings, duplicate invoices, unexpected vendor/payment patterns, out-of-threshold variances).
  • Monitoring Tool: Continuous improve finance monitoring solutions (rules/thresholds, exception queues, alerts, dashboards) so teams can prioritize, investigate, and close issues faster with consistent logic and audit trails.
  • AI Enablement: Work with automation team to apply Generative AI and analytics techniques to support customer inquiries, trend analysis and exception investigation (e.g., summarizing issues, suggesting likely root causes, drafting investigation notes, and proposing next-step checks) while adhering to data privacy, access, validation, and audit requirements.
  • Automation Collaboration: Partner with Automation/RPA and IT to deliver automations that improve accounting data quality and efficiency (e.g., reconciliations, variance analysis, master data requests), built on governed data and clear controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, MIS, or a related field.
  • At least 5–8 years of experience in finance data and/or transformation roles, with experience supporting multiple internal customer groups across Business Units.
  • Proven Track Record in Demonstrated experience establishing finance data definitions, governance, controls, and SOPs that improve reporting accuracy and close performance.
  • Excellent in communication and coordination skills
  • Fluent in English both writing and speaking
