Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Tech Lead for AI/ML Team:

  • Technical Leadership:
  • Lead the AI/ML development lifecycle including problem framing, data collection, model building, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Drive architectural decisions and best practices in AI/ML systems design.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and data scientists.
  • Provide customer Demo for the in-house products.
  • Project Delivery:
  • Manage multiple ML projects, ensuring timely delivery, scalability, and quality.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business problems into ML solutions.
  • Own and manage model performance, explainability, and drift monitoring in production.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and data engineers to integrate ML solutions into applications and services.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Innovation & R&D:
  • Stay up to date with the latest AI/ML research and tools.
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and approaches that improve AI capabilities and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. PhD preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in ML/AI engineering, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Deep understanding of algorithms, statistics, optimization, and data structures.
  • Experience deploying ML models in production (e.g., MLOps, CI/CD for ML).
  • Proficient in Python and SQL; experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make technical decisions under uncertainty.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NLP, computer vision, or generative AI models (e.g., LLMs).
  • Familiarity with ML model governance, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or publications in peer-reviewed journals.
