We're Hiring: Tech Lead / Engineering Manager (Japanese speaking)

At Manabie, we're building enterprise ERP systems for schools and learning centers — attendance, grading, scheduling, billing, eContract — products that touch thousands of learners every day.

We're looking for a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager who:

Still loves writing and reviewing code (hands-on is non-negotiable)

Thinks in user outcomes, not just technical outputs

Can lead a distributed squad across SG / VN / PH

Understands Japanese business culture, or speaks Japanese

What you'll own:

• Architecture decisions for large-scale enterprise features
• Engineering standards, code quality, and release cadence
• Mentoring engineers and building a culture of ownership
• Close collaboration with Product and JP-facing partner teams

You're a great fit if you have:

5+ years engineering, incl. 2+ as Tech Lead or EM

Experience with large-scale enterprise systems (ERP / CRM / vertical SaaS)

Product mindset — you ask why before how

Strong English for cross-border collaboration

Understanding of Japanese business practices ( )

Nice to have: Salesforce, Go, gRPC, Kubernetes, Agile in distributed teams
