Key Responsibilities
Lead the Integration Squad, providing technical guidance and mentoring to the team members
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, tribe leads, product owners, and other squads to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and implement APIs using Apigee to enable integration with other systems and services.
- Develop event streaming solutions using Confluent Kafka to support real-time data processing and analytics.
- Ensure the integration design and implementation meet business requirements and are consistent with the system architecture
- Optimize performance and scalability of APIs and event streaming solutions.
- Debug and troubleshoot production issues related to integration, providing timely resolution and enhancements.
- Promote best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
- Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices within the team.
Skills and experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in software delivery for Financial Services clients is a plus.
- Expertise in designing and implementing APIs using Apigee or a similar API management platform, with different protocols such as SOAP, REST, gRPC and GraphQL.
- Strong experience with event streaming platforms, preferably Confluent Kafka.
- Proficient in microservices architecture and various API design patterns.
- Experience working in a hybrid architecture, with integration between cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure) and on-premise systems.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong knowledge of modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
