About Sova Health

Sova Health is a leading D2C preventive healthcare company focused on transforming personalized wellness through science, data, and AI. Our mission is to build India's most trusted precision health platform by delivering tailored health solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior technical leader to design and build Sova's internal platform

from scratch. This is not a traditional Product Owner role. The ideal candidate combines

software engineering depth, database architecture expertise, product thinking and

leadership skills to build technology that will scale for the next 5-10 years.

What You'll Build

  • Unified CRM and patient journey platform
  • Clinical operations and EMR workflows
  • Diagnostics data platform (microbiome, blood tests, food logs, wearable data
  • AI-ready infrastructure for research, analytics and ML deployment

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Sova's long-term systems and database architecture.
  • Build scalable, resilient and future-proof infrastructure.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in PRD creation and technical validation.
  • Build and lead the engineering team from scratch.
  • Establish engineering standards and hiring plans.
  • Design AI-enabled data pipelines.
  • Implement security, access controls and healthcare compliance.

Required Experience

  • 8-15 years in Software Engineering, Technical Architecture, Data Engineering or Platform Engineering.
  • Prior roles such as Technical Lead, Technical Architect, Solutions Architect, Engineering Lead or Database Architect.
  • Experience building internal platforms or operational systems from 0→1.
  • Experience leading engineering teams.
  • Experience working in high-growth startup environments.

Technical Skills

Database & Data Architecture:

  • Relational and NoSQL databases
  • Data modeling and schema design
  • Query optimization
  • PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB or equivalent

System Architecture

  • Distributed systems
  • API architecture
  • Scalability and resilience
  • Backup and disaster recovery
  • AI-Native Engineering: Comfortable using AI-assisted development workflows and modern engineering tools.

Nice to Have

  • HealthTech experience
  • EMR experience
  • AI/ML deployment experience
  • Thinks in systems, not features
  • Designs for 10x scale
  • Delegates effectively
  • Communicates complex ideas simply
