About the role
Our client is a global leader in advanced manufacturing, currently looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive cost optimization, process innovation, and cross-functional program execution within assembly and packaging operations.
This role plays a key part in leading strategic initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives focused on cost optimization, process efficiency, and manufacturability improvement
- Drive Bill of Materials (BOM) optimization and support value engineering programs
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Manage complex engineering programs across multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization
- Collaborate with suppliers and partners to develop alternative materials and cost-effective solutions
- Support introduction of new technologies and packaging solutions
- Ensure smooth execution of engineering change and improvement programs with proper governance
- Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and performance tracking
- Work closely with internal teams (engineering, operations, quality, etc.) to achieve business objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in assembly, manufacturing, or process engineering in a high-volume environment
- Strong background in cost reduction, process improvement, and program management
- Experience working with suppliers and driving cross-functional collaboration
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and production technologies
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good command of English and ability to communicate with regional/global teams
Preferred Profile
- Experience in advanced manufacturing or electronics-related industry
- Exposure to packaging or backend processes is a plus
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and matrix environment
