Job Description

We are presenting a European HQ based company in the field of automotive sector to appoint The Technical Sales Specialist (Aftermarket 2W and 4W) based in Thailand. The Technical Sales Specialist – Thailand is responsible for driving sales growth and supporting channel partners for braking products in the automotive aftermarket across Thailand. The scope of this role covers both AM Traditional, channels and products, ensuring consistent support, training, and business development for all partner types.

This position blends technical product knowledge with strong customer-facing and training abilities, focusing on enabling workshops, parts stores, and distributors to succeed with our solutions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, skilled trainer, and effective collaborator with both internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

1. Channel & Business Development

• Identify and develop new customers and channel partners (workshops, distributors, fleet operators, industrial clients) in both AM Traditional and channels throughout Thailand

• Generate leads, schedule customer visits, and conduct solution-based sales discussions.

• Prepare and submit commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders.

• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, following up consistently to close deals.

2. Product Application & Technical Support

• Understand braking product specifications, performance characteristics, and application requirements.

• Provide technical guidance to customers and partners on product selection, installation, compatibility, and performance.

• Conduct product demonstrations, field trials, and technical presentations.

• Troubleshoot product-related issues and coordinate with engineering/QA teams for resolution.

• Collect technical data from customer applications and share insights with R&D or product development teams.

3. Product Training & Enablement

• Roll out training programs for workshops and parts stores across Thailand, ensuring partners in both AM Traditional and channels are equipped to sell and support our products.

• Deliver engaging training sessions on product features, application, maintenance, and safety.

• Gather market feedback during training to help refine and improve programs.

• Assist in the design and continuous improvement of training materials.

4. Channel Support & Relationship Management

• Develop long-term relationships with OEMs, distributors, mechanics, and industrial customers across all channels.

• Ensure timely follow-ups, after-sales technical support, and effective handling of customer complaints.

• Provide post-sales technical support, training, and product usage guidance.

• Support merchandising development and local marketing activities by providing market feedback and ensuring compliance with management processes.

5. Market Analysis & Reporting

• Monitor competitor products, pricing, technologies, and market trends in the braking industry.

• Provide feedback on product performance, customer requirements, and market gaps.

• Maintain CRM updates and submit regular reports on sales activity, forecasts, and new opportunities.

6. Events, Fairs & Marketing Support

• Assist in the preparation and execution of events, fairs, exhibitions, and product launches.

• Be present at key events to support channel partners and promote products.

• Support marketing activities such as exhibitions, roadshows, and product launches.

7. Documentation & Coordination

• Assist in preparing product catalogs, technical data sheets, and customer documentation.

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the right solutions are delivered to customers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred (technical, business, or related field).

• Minimum 3+ years experience in technical sales, channel management, or product training (automotive aftermarket experience in Thailand is a plus).

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to deliver effective training and enablement to channel partners.

• Good understanding of product application in the field; technical aptitude required

• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to travel within Thailand for customer visits, training, and events.
