We are seeking a highly skilled Experts, Senior s, Engineers to join our self-driving team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy advanced algorithms that enable autonomous vehicles to accurately sense, interpret, and interact with the world around them. You will work on cutting-edge challenges in 3D object and occupancy detection, tracking, sensor fusion, scene understanding, and foundation models for self-driving, with direct impact on the safety and performance of our autonomous systems. This is an opportunity to contribute at the intersection of deep learning, computer vision, robotics, and system engineering, while collaborating with a world-class team of researchers and engineers.
- Write, debug and maintain robust C/C++ software to the entire Autopilot software stack; depending on needs and your interests/skills, you might work on code related to our high-framerate Camera & Vision stack, write GPU kernels, design and implement low memory footprint image compression libraries, implement high-performance inter-process communication data buffers, improve/extend our image & raw data logging/telemetry code, or make our evaluation/replay software more stable and performant
- Optimize hardware resources usage, leverage custom hardware components where appropriate
- Advocate for best coding practices amongst the group, build tools helping engineers to write better code (for instance, performance/memory tracking)
- Generalize software frameworks when necessary while keeping in mind that too much abstraction can sometimes become a bottleneck
Requirements
- PhD / Master/ BS in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering or proof of exceptional skills in related fields, with practical software engineering experience.
- At least 7 years experience in IT Management/Project Management Role.
- Experience programming C/C++ software, including modern C/C++ (C++11/14) and multithreading
- Experience or familiarity with Computer Vision & related software concepts
- Experience with performant software design, object-oriented C++ and/or hardcore lower-level C code
- Proficient developing software on a Linux host, for embedded Linux targets (cross-compilation, etc.)
- Experience with at least one of the following: imaging software, Cuda/OpenCL, SIMD, multithreading, Linux system software ( posix etc.), computer vision
Nice-to-Have
- Experience conducting safety reviews (HARA, FTA, FMEA, etc.)
- Knowledge of ISO-26262 or similar (DO-178, ARP-4754, IEC 62304, etc.)
- Must demonstrate strong systems engineering fundamentals
