The part you will play
We are seeking a skilled AI Consultant to accelerate automation and productivity across all departments of our e-commerce enablement business. This role will identify repetitive, high-volume tasks; evaluate automation opportunities; design AI-powered workflows; and drive deployment of solutions that reduce operational effort, increase speed, and ensure accuracy or enhance performance.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to map processes, uncover automation opportunities, build prototypes, and collaborate with tech teams to deploy production-ready AI solutions. The ideal candidate is both analytical and creative, with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of how AI can be applied pragmatically to business operations.
This role plays a critical part in accelerating Intrepid's internal productivity roadmap and shaping the company's adoption of next-generation AI and automation capabilities.
As an AI Consultant, you will
Discovery & Assessment
- Conduct process discovery workshops with different departments (Operations, Commercial, CS, Finance).
- Map current workflows and identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone activities suitable for AI or automation.
- Quantify effort, volume, turnaround time, error rate, and potential ROI for each opportunity.
- Create and maintain an AI Automation Opportunity Backlog.
Solution Design
- Propose AI agents, automation workflows, and tool integrations to streamline identified processes.
- Recommend optimal solutions using workflow orchestration and application of AI.
- Create proof-of-concepts (POCs) with assistance from tech for quick validation.
Implementation & Delivery
- Collaborate with Tech teams to integrate AI workflows and build automations using platforms like N8n, Langflow, Gemini, OpenAI Assistants/Agents etc.
- Run pilots, collect feedback, iterate, and scale.
- Develop documentation, SOP changes, and training materials for end-users.
- 4. Measurement & Reporting
- Track impact metrics like Hours saved, Cost reduction, SLA improvements, Error reduction and User adoption
- Present monthly Automation Impact Reports to leadership.
What we are looking for - the ideal profile
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with GenAI LLMs, AI agents, or automation platforms.
- Proficiency in Python and no-code tools like N8n for automation.
- Familiarity with databases, APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail operations, or digital/marketplace workflows.
Consulting & Analytical Skills
- Strong problem-solving with ability to break down complex workflows and translating business problems into solutions.
- Ability to evaluate ROI and prepare business cases.
- Comfortable leading workshops, interviewing stakeholders, and synthesizing insights.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend new applications.
Industry Experience (Preferred)
- 1+ year of experience in automation consulting, process improvement, AI delivery, or digital transformation.
- Prior exposure to Ecommerce industry, e.g. marketplaces (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok), direct-to-consumer operations, logistics, or finance reconciliation workflows.
