General Manager – Thailand – Chinese Speaker
Job Duties:
- Develop cross border ecommerce export business for the Thailand branch;ensure compliance with fiscal laws and taxation; and be responsible for the selection and optimization of the warehouse location.
- Act as the primary contact point for marketplace, ERP, local custom brokers, airlines, shipping lines, forwarders and the Headquarters to establish cross border logistics services for routes from Southeast Asia to US and Europe.
- In line with Zongteng's strategy, develop relationships with local e-commerce merchants, marketplaces, and industrial partners to expand our presence and enhance our market shares.
- Responsible for regional P&L,reporting to Regional Headquarter in China.
- Promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration between departments to drive alignment, ensure commitment to company goals, and continuously improve operational performance.
- Oversee product development in cross border export parcels and FBA in air and sea freight modes.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in BD or sales role and team management, with proven experience in team management and leadership.
- Proven background in logistics (warehousing, freight forwarding, or supply chain management) is essential.
- Thai Chinese descent with deep cultural understanding is preferred and established local networks in Thailand.
- Experience with Chinese private enterprises is highly preferred; familiarity with the operational pace and culture of Chinese companies is a strong advantage.
- Experience in managing implementations, start-ups, or new market entries.
- Multi-contract experience to drive synergies and an understanding of the complexities of working with diverse customers. Demonstrable exemplary customer relationship management skills with the flexibility to manage several clients with varying requirements simultaneously.
- Entrepreneurial drive to take ownership of our strategy and execution to achieve aggressive growth goals.
- Strong leadership skills - must be able to develop, mentor, and lead the local team while working effectively across departments and regions.
- Excellent commercial acumen - understands the dynamics of open/closed book contracts and develops a profit center approach and culture amongst the team that is focused on bottom-line performance.
- A strong business sense with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities from overarching business development strategies.
- Strong communication and cross-cultural communication skills, with proven experience in market analysis, product positioning, channel development, project and risk management.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Thai, English, and Mandarin (both written and spoken) to effectively communicate with local teams, international partners, and headquarters.
