Summary
The Director of Culture and Communications is responsible for leading the hotel's marketing communications, public relations, brand storytelling, cultural programming, partnerships, and external communications in alignment with Hyatt brand standards and the hotel's positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the hotel's marketing communications, PR, and brand communication strategy.
- Lead media relations, press releases, media hosting, press trips, and influencer/KOL collaborations.
- Strengthen the hotel's brand positioning through storytelling, lifestyle content, cultural programming, and local partnerships.
- Manage the hotel's external communication channels, including social media, website content, digital listings, newsletters, and marketing collateral.
- Create and coordinate content plans for hotel rooms, F&B outlets, spa, events, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
- Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to support commercial campaigns, tactical promotions, and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Partner with F&B and other departments to promote restaurants, bars, special events, activations, and guest experiences.
- Build relationships with media, influencers, creative communities, local partners, and relevant lifestyle brands.
- Plan and support brand events, cultural activations, launches, media events, and community collaborations.
- Ensure all communication materials are accurate, on-brand, visually aligned, and consistent with Hyatt standards.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, media coverage, and social media performance.
- Manage PR agencies, photographers, videographers, designers, and external creative partners when required.
- Support crisis communications and reputation management in coordination with hotel leadership and corporate communications.
- Prepare reports on PR value, media coverage, social media performance, campaign results, and marketing communication activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Commercial
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing communications, public relations, brand communications, digital marketing, or a similar role.
- Previous experience in luxury hotels, lifestyle hotels, hospitality, media, fashion, lifestyle, or creative industries is preferred.
- Strong understanding of marketing communications, PR strategy, media relations, digital content, and brand positioning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Thai language skills are an advantage.
- Strong storytelling, copywriting, editing, and presentation skills.
- Good network with media, influencers, lifestyle partners, and creative communities is preferred.
- Experience managing social media content, campaigns, photo/video shoots, and marketing collateral.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to brand image, visual presentation, and detail.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to support revenue-driving campaigns and promotions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple campaigns and deadlines.
- Confident in working with senior leadership, corporate teams, agencies, and external partners.
- Professional, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
