The position is essential to ensuring alignment with global standards and supporting Thai Union's strategic sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Traceability Systems & Supply Chain Oversight

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of seafood traceability systems, monitoring supply chains from origin to final destination.
  • Work closely with suppliers, fisheries, and internal stakeholders to enhance traceability and ensure compliance with international standards and customer requirements.

Project Management & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as project lead for traceability-related initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including procurement, operations, IT, sustainability, and external partners/vendors.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones, and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and issue resolution.
  • Provide regular progress updates to management and key stakeholders.

Data Management & Analysis

  • Track, measure, and analyze traceability and sustainability data to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Work with digital and data teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across systems.
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for operational and strategic decision-making.

Regulatory Compliance & Certification

  • Monitor emerging regulations and industry developments related to traceability and sustainability (e.g., FSMA 204, EUDR).
  • Support compliance with certifications and standards such as MSC, ASC, and other relevant benchmarks.

Stakeholder Engagement & Capability Building

  • Serve as a key liaison with regulators, industry groups, and external partners on traceability-related topics.
  • Lead internal training and awareness sessions for business units, plants, and suppliers on traceability requirements, systems, and best practices.

Sustainability Reporting & Disclosure

  • Coordinate data collection and analysis, validation, and assurance processes across departments.
  • Prepare and present reports on traceability performance, sustainability initiatives, and progress against targets for senior management and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in data analysis, supply chain management, sustainability, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 23 years experience in traceability systems, data management and reporting, procurement, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in implementing or supporting traceability or sustainability initiatives.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience with procurement processes, traceability tools, and databases; familiarity with systems such as SAP and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and data management capabilities, with hands-on experience in data reporting and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant certifications (e.g., MSC, ASC) and applicable regulatory and compliance frameworks.

Personal Attributes

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability and driving positive change within the seafood industry.
  • Proactive, positive, and solution-oriented mindset (can-do attitude).

Note

This role acts as a critical knowledge and coordination link between Thai Union's global traceability developments and implementation at market and plant levels. It ensures that regulatory requirements in key markets (such as the U.S. and EU) and emerging technological solutions are effectively translated into practical guidance, consistent processes, and scalable solutions across the organization.
