Overview / Purpose Of The Position

To generate leads, convert prospects into clients, and promote BSI training programs in order to drive revenue and profitability of the training business. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer-focused mindset, and a passion for supporting individuals and organizations to grow through learning.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities Commercial

  • Achieve assigned revenue targets, delivering profitable sales volume and supporting strategic objectives within assigned accounts.
  • Drive new customer acquisition across public and private sectors through proactive prospecting, networking, and market engagement activities.
  • Proactively generate and develop sales opportunities through outbound calls, client meetings, marketing campaigns, events, and referrals.
  • Own and manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead qualification and needs analysis through solution positioning, proposal, negotiation, and deal closure, with accurate forecasting and effective sales pipeline management.
  • Apply consultative selling by understanding customer needs, analysing competency gaps, and recommending appropriate training and learning solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring service excellence, following up on satisfaction, and managing complaints effectively to support long-term business growth.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and progress within Salesforce and related systems.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and training teams to ensure aligned messaging, effective offerings, and smooth delivery planning.

Product Knowledge


  • Articulate BSI's Training products and qualifications to generate returning client sales.
  • Articulate why BSI Training is the market leader in assurance training
  • Apply product features and benefits to customers needs to win business

Person Specification


Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in B2B sales, preferably within certification bodies, consulting firms, training providers, or professional services.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, with experience in proactive new business development.
  • Experience selling training, professional services, or solution-based offerings; exposure to commercial events or learning solutions is an advantage.
  • Experience engaging customers across public and private sectors will be an advantage.
  • Experience preferably in commercial events/training/publishing or related.
  • Excellent in presentation skills.

Skills And Abilities


  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with decision-makers and stakeholders at different levels.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and sales pipelines.
  • Confident working independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and working in a KPI-driven environment.

Education / Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree and above
