Job Description

Under direction from Chief Resident Engineer (CRE), project manager, and/or supervisors, perform construction supervision of transmission line and/or substation. The responsibilities include, but not limited to, field inspection, quality control/assurance, progress monitoring, reporting and documentation, review of technical method statements and construction materials. Perform any duties as necessary and as assigned to ensure quality and schedule of the construction.

Primary duties:

  • Field inspection and quality control/quality assurance of the transmission line and/or substation construction to ensure that the execution of construction complies with the contract, international standards, and international best practices.
  • Inspect, witness, and/or approve the execution of works (foundation works, tower erections, stringing works etc.).
  • Verify quantities and/or dimensions of workmanships to ensure compliance with the construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure that the construction progress complies with the construction schedule.
  • Prepare inspection reports, progress reports, and other reports as assigned by supervisors.
  • Review method statements and construction materials.
  • Participate the team meeting to review construction progress
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Electrical, Civil, Construction or other related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, supervision, or QA/QC related to transmission line, substation, power plants, or other infrastructure projects
  • Good command in English and computer literacy
