Job Description

The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing the company's cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and accounts receivable activities to ensure sufficient cash availability, effective working capital management, and appropriate credit risk control.

The role will oversee daily cash management, cash flow forecasting, banking activities, petty cash, customer credit management, collection performance, and credit limit governance. The position will also work closely with Commercial, Accounting, and Management to balance business growth with cash flow and credit risk discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cash Flow & Liquidity Management
  • Lead the preparation and monitoring of daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts, ensuring timely visibility of cash requirements and liquidity position.
  • Monitor actual cash flow against forecast and analyze key variances, drivers, and trends.
  • Manage the company's cash position and ensure sufficient liquidity to support business operations.
  • Optimize cash utilization and working capital while minimizing idle cash and liquidity risk.
  • Coordinate with relevant functions to manage cash inflows and outflows and proactively identify potential cash flow risks.
  • Provide regular cash flow and liquidity updates to Management, including key risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.

2. Accounts Receivable & Collection Management

  • Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) management and ensure timely collection of customer receivables.
  • Monitor AR aging, overdue balances, collection performance, and customer payment trends.
  • Work closely with Commercial and Customer Service teams to drive timely collection and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Establish and monitor collection targets and KPIs, including DSO, overdue AR, and collection effectiveness.
  • Identify potential collection risks and escalate significant overdue or high-risk accounts to Management.

3. Credit Management

  • Lead the customer credit review and credit assessment process, including evaluation of customer financial information, payment history, credit exposure, and business risk.
  • Establish and periodically review customer credit limits and payment terms in line with company policies and risk appetite.
  • Review and provide recommendations on over-credit limit requests / exceptional credit approvals before submission to the authorized approver.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place for customers exceeding approved credit limits or payment terms.
  • Partner with Commercial to balance sales opportunities and credit risk, ensuring business growth does not create excessive working capital or bad debt exposure.
  • Monitor customer credit exposure and proactively highlight potential risks to Management.

4. Petty Cash & Cash Control

  • Oversee petty cash management and ensure proper controls, documentation, reconciliation, and timely replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls for cash handling and disbursement.
  • Monitor cash-related transactions and investigate any unusual or exceptional items.
  • Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and controls over cash and bank accounts.

5. Banking & Treasury Operations

  • Manage day-to-day banking activities, including bank accounts, payments, collections, bank reconciliations, and banking relationships.
  • Coordinate with banks on operational matters and ensure banking services are effectively utilized.
  • Support bank-related documentation, account opening/closing, and other treasury requirements.
  • Ensure treasury transactions are properly authorized, recorded, and controlled in accordance with company policies.

6. Reporting, Controls & Process Improvement

  • Prepare regular Treasury, Cash Flow, AR, and Credit Management reports for Management.
  • Develop dashboards and key indicators to improve visibility of cash flow, AR, collection, and credit exposure.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant financial regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve treasury and AR processes, controls, and efficiency.
  • Drive process improvements and automation to enhance cash visibility, collection effectiveness, and working capital management.

7. Business Partnership & Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the Treasury/AR team, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Accounting, Supply Chain, and other functions to improve cash conversion and working capital.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to Management to support effective business and credit decisions.
  • Promote a strong cash culture and working capital discipline across the organization.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • 8+ years of experience in Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, or related finance functions, preferably with managerial experience.
  • Experience in cash flow management, AR management, customer credit assessment, and working capital management.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk, collection processes, and financial controls.
  • Experience in FMCG, trading, manufacturing, or other fast-moving business environments is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with Commercial and cross-functional teams.
  • Good command of English and proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
