We are looking for a seasoned professional for the position of Customer Service & Operations Unit Leader – VP.

About the Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity within Financial Crime and Customer Operations, ideal for professionals who have strong experience in banking operations, compliance, and team management. The role involves leading large operations teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing financial crime-related processes, and driving efficiency through process improvements and strong governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage high-performing operations teams to deliver strong customer and business outcomes
- Drive operational excellence across Financial Crime and Customer Operations
- Manage and oversee processes related to CDD, EDD, TDD, transaction monitoring, transaction filtering, and sanction screening
- Handle escalations, complex operational cases, risk management matters, and compliance requirements
- Strengthen and manage KYC/CDD frameworks, risk assessment practices, and regulatory compliance processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and workflow optimisation to enhance efficiency
- Monitor KPIs, productivity, and service delivery metrics to improve performance and turnaround times
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support transformation initiatives and improve customer experience
- Lead team capability building through effective people management, training, and performance development
- Ensure SOPs, process documentation, and controls are maintained and aligned with business requirements
Preferred Keyskills
- 15+ years of experience in financial services with strong people leadership exposure
- At least 3 years of experience in Financial Crime operations
- Strong understanding of KYC/CDD, regulatory compliance, and risk management frameworks
- Experience handling complex financial crime cases and managing large operations teams
- Certifications such as CAMS / ICA will be an added advantage
