Mizuho Bank Bangkok Branch is part of the APAC Mizuho Bank and forms an integral part of the overall Mizuho Financial Group. It plays a central role in the local Thailand and Asia based business of Mizuho Bank, Mizuho Financial Group's core banking subsidiary. Mizuho Bank's presence in Thailand began in March 1982 with the establishment of a representative office in Bangkok. Currently, we have two offices in Thailand, one in Bangkok and another one in Eastern Seaboards, Rayong, with almost 500 employees from Thailand and Japan driving our business and creating values with our clients for a prosperous and sustainable future.
This division focuses on corporate advisory and business matching including planning for mid-term business strategy to support business growth by delivering strategic advisory solutions, conducting comprehensive market research, and fostering strong relationships with clients and partners. Leveraging specialized expertise in the Thailand business landscape, this role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key projects, and collaborating effectively with industry associations, business communities, and government agencies in Thailand to advance strategic corporate initiatives.
- Analyze client business models to identify financial improvement opportunities
- Deliver tailored advisory solutions in collaboration with internal teams
- Identify and support growth initiatives in partnership with industry associations, business communities, and government agencies
- Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and external stakeholders to drive business growth
- Oversee operational processes and ensure effective administrative governance to optimize divisional performance and efficiency
This role is based in Bangkok, Thailand. The internal job title is Vice President, Business Advisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or any related field
- At least 10 years experience in research and consulting for corporate and multinational corporations (MNCs)
- Proven track record in business development, or consulting within the banking or financial services industry
- Preferably experienced in working with government agencies, industry associations, or business communities
- Proven expertise in project management, with the ability to oversee and implement strategic initiatives
- Strong analytical and research capabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client and partner relationships
- Ability to work independently and collaborative as a team player
- Fluent in English and Japanese language (JLPT N1-2)
