Role Overview
The Head of Performance & Reward Operations will lead the design, implementation, and management of the Performance & Reward (Compensation & Benefits) operating model within the GCC. The role will be responsible for establishing operational processes, managing service transitions from global locations, building and leading the local team, and ensuring efficient delivery of Performance & Reward services across multiple regions.
This position requires a combination of Compensation & Benefits expertise, HR transformation experience, shared services leadership, and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
HR Transformation & Operating Model
- Design and implement the Performance & Reward operating model for the Global Capability Centre.
- Develop processes, governance frameworks, operating procedures, and service delivery standards.
- Support the transition of global Performance & Reward services into the shared services organization.
- Collaborate with global HR leaders to define which services and processes should transition to the GCC.
- Establish service delivery models, SLAs, KPIs, governance mechanisms, and operational controls.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Compensation & Benefits operations.
Performance & Reward Operations
- Support delivery of global Compensation & Benefits programs.
- Oversee operational execution of Performance Management and Reward processes.
- Ensure consistent delivery of Tier 1 and Tier 2 operational services and selected Tier 3 advisory activities.
- Standardize processes and improve operational efficiency across regions.
- Monitor service quality, productivity, compliance, and operational performance.
Shared Services & Transition Management
- Lead transition and migration activities from global locations into the GCC.
- Define transition plans, knowledge transfer activities, governance models, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure successful operationalization of migrated services.
- Monitor post-transition performance and continuously optimize processes.
Leadership & People Management
- Build and lead the local Performance & Reward operations team.
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop team members.
- Foster collaboration between local and global teams.
- Drive employee engagement and create a high-performing team culture.
- Provide leadership and guidance throughout transformation initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with senior HR leaders, Compensation & Benefits teams, Shared Services leaders, and Transformation stakeholders.
- Present recommendations, progress updates, and operational metrics to leadership.
- Manage risks, issues, and escalations throughout transformation and operational activities.
- Build strong relationships across global and regional HR functions.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in Human Resources with significant exposure to Compensation & Benefits and Performance & Reward functions.
- Proven experience building or managing Global Capability Centres (GCC), Shared Services, or Centres of Excellence (CoE).
- Strong experience leading HR transformation, operating model design, and transition/offshoring initiatives.
- Experience managing global HR operations across multiple regions.
- Strong understanding of Compensation & Benefits processes, Performance Management, governance, and service delivery models.
- Experience working within large multinational organizations, preferably in Banking, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industries.
