Job Summary
The Vice President – Internal Audit is responsible for providing independent assurance on the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control processes across all business units within King Power Group. This role leads the annual audit strategy, oversees end-to-end audit cycles, enhances compliance and operational efficiency, and ensures internal audit activities align with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
The VP serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership and the Audit Committee, identifying risks, recommending improvements, and driving a strong culture of integrity and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit Strategy & Governance
- Develop and execute the annual Audit Plan aligned with enterprise risk and corporate strategy.
- Ensure compliance with professional audit standards (IIA Standards, COSO).
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to Audit Committee, Board, CEO, CFO, and business leaders.
- Review audit charters, frameworks, and governance structure.
Audit Operations & Risk Management
- Lead operational, financial, IT, compliance, and special investigative audits.
- Oversee risk assessment, including risk scoring, internal control evaluation, and fraud detection.
- Monitor corrective action plans (CAP) and ensure timely remediation.
- Evaluate internal controls for new business initiatives, digital platforms, retail operations, F&B, logistics, and overseas entities.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop internal audit teams at Manager – Officer levels.
- Foster a culture of analytical thinking, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Manage resource planning, audit assignments, and talent development.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, HR, Legal, IT Security, Commercial, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Digital, and Overseas Offices.
- Advise management on mitigation plans for high-risk issues.
- Ensure clarity in communication of audit findings and resolutions.
Compliance & Investigation
- Oversee confidential investigations related to fraud, misconduct, and compliance violations.
- Collaborate with Legal & Compliance teams on regulatory issues.
- Ensure updated policies for internal controls across the Group.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Business Administration, or related fields.
- CPA / CIA / CISA preferred (strong advantage).
- 15+ years of experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or internal control.
- Minimum 8 years in managerial roles, ideally within large corporations, retail, FMCG, airline, hospitality, or multi-business groups.
- Strong command of Thai and English.
- Experience working with Audit Committee, Board members, and C-level executives.
