Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a seasoned QC Automation to oversee and advance the organization's quality assurance and test automation capabilities. This role combines hands-on test automation leadership with strategic QA governance, driving CI/CD integration, scalable automation frameworks, and robust testing across multiple domains. The ideal candidate will mentor teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure high-quality, reliable software deliveries aligned with business objectives and regulatory considerations.
Software Requirements
Required Skills (Essential)
- Extensive experience in test automation across web, mobile, and API testing
- Hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, and Citi Fast Framework (or equivalent)
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven)
- Proficient in CI/CD integration of automated tests using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Proficient in one or more programming languages for automation (e.g., Java, Python, C#)
- Thorough understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent SQL/database validation skills and ability to verify data integrity
- Experience with version control (Git) and defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to lead, coach, and mentor junior automation engineers
Preferred Skills
- Experience with performance testing (JMeter) as part of automation strategy
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience integrating AI-assisted testing or AI-powered test tooling
- Experience with automation in regulated industries or financial services
Overall Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute scalable test automation strategies and frameworks for web, mobile, and API workloads
- Lead the development and integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to shorten release cycles and improve quality
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering best practices in automation and testing
- Collaborate with product, development, QA, and operations teams to define test coverage and quality targets
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated scripts; maintain thorough defect reporting and traceability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing efficiency, coverage, and reliability
- Monitor and report on quality metrics; lead defect triage and risk assessment discussions
- Stay current with evolving QA technologies and industry best practices; evangelize innovation within the QA function

- 5+ years specifically in test automation and leading QA automation efforts
- Proven track record of delivering automated testing solutions and contributing to CI/CD initiatives
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and participating in code reviews
- Banking/financial services domain experience is advantageous but not required
- Alternative pathways: extensive hands-on automation leadership in large-scale projects or relevant certifications
Day-to-Day Activities
- Analyze requirements and design robust test strategies, plans, and automation scripts
- Build and maintain automated test suites; execute tests and report results
- Conduct API testing and validate data flows between systems
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA to enhance test coverage
- Perform code reviews and provide feedback to improve testability
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support regression testing
- Maintain test documentation, dashboards, and quality metrics
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Certifications in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE) or QA automation are beneficial
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development in QA automation and related technologies
