HDF Mercy Centre is dedicated to serving the children and communities living in the slums of Bangkok. By working closely with local communities, we implement sustainable solutions that enhance lives daily. Our efforts include building and running schools, improving health and welfare for families, defending the rights of street children, and providing shelter and care for orphans, street children, and individuals affected by AIDS. Together, we address pressing issues and respond to emergencies in partnership with those we serve.

Role Description

This is a hybrid Volunteer role based in Bangkok City, Thailand, with the flexibility to complete some tasks remotely. Volunteers will assist with community outreach programs, contribute to the development and organization of educational and welfare projects, and support administrative activities. They may also participate in hands-on caregiving, such as assisting children in schools or shelters and helping with health and family welfare initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with children, families, and community members
• Experience with project management, event organization, or similar activities
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a multicultural and diverse environment
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and word processing software
• Passion for social work, education, and community development
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Thai or other local languages is a plus
• Prior experience in volunteering or working with underprivileged communities is an advantage
