Job Description

The VP - Commercial Development is responsible for identifying, securing, and developing strategic tenants and brand partnerships that enhance asset positioning and drive sustainable revenue growth. The role combines market intelligence, tenant mix strategy, and long-term partnership development to maximize occupancy, strengthen customer relevance, and support portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure anchor tenants and strategic brand partners that enhance asset value and positioning
  • Develop and execute leasing and occupancy strategies to optimize tenant mix across assets
  • Negotiate commercial terms and value-driven partnership agreements (MOUs, contracts)
  • Conduct market intelligence and provide data-driven insights for tenant targeting and portfolio positioning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic leasing and business development initiatives
  • Monitor market trends and identify new partnership opportunities to drive growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Economics, Real Estate, or related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in commercial development, retail/real estate business development, or strategic partnerships
  • Proven track record in closing business partnership deals
  • Experience working with both local and international partners
  • Strong negotiation and commercial structuring skills
  • Ability to conduct business model analysis and feasibility studies
  • Experience in retail / shopping mall industry is highly preferred
