VP - Institutional Banking Compliance
Job Description :
- Advise or suggest or supervise the best solution to business units on regulatory concerns to functional units in compliance with laws and regulations relating to Institutional banking compliance.
- Execute specific assignments to meet Institutional banking regulatory compliance's objectives.
- Communicate and circulate the regulations of BOT and related to other supervisory authorities, which are newly released or revised and impacting to the Bank, to relevant employees/ functional units in relation to laws and regulations of Institutional banking compliance.
- Conduct training and educate to employees on laws and regulations including policies and practices regarding wholesale banking compliance as well as Taiwan regulations.
- Follow up the conducts in compliance with laws and regulations relating to Institutional banking compliance.
- Participate or to be members of working team in any project or new banking products related to Institutional banking.
- Coordinate or discuss compliance issues with the Bank of Thailand and related supervisory authorities, including reporting and responding queries, etc.
- Provide the Compliance testing to ensure compliance with laws and regulations including policies, procedures and manuals.
- Provide and review Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA) which is relating to Institutional banking compliance.
- Prepare response or reports for management and the BOT or supervisory authorities as requested.
- Review the policies, procedures, manuals to comply with laws and regulations.
- Provide the annual review of granting credits transactions to related parties policy to be proposed to the BOD for approval.
- Update any change of directors and senior management into quarterly report and Credit Center System immediately per the BOT regulations and manually update the CTBC Related Party Lists on a monthly basis.
- Handle necessary processes and reporting related to CTBC but not limit to Taiwan regulations, including communication and training to employees on such matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in banking compliance or regulatory affairs, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of BOT regulations, wholesale banking operations, and cross-border compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with regulators and senior management.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and regulatory interpretation skills.
- Strong English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with CTBC or Taiwan financial regulations is an advantage.
