Position Summary
The Warehouse Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across the end-to-end warehouse and distribution network. This position oversees inventory control, distribution efficiency, food safety compliance, and logistics cost optimization. The successful candidate will ensure high product availability, 100% inventory accuracy, strict FEFO/FIFO compliance, cold-chain integrity, and on-time delivery while maintaining regulatory standards. This role is critical in supporting business growth, minimizing wastage, and upholding the highest food safety and quality standard.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Define, develop, and execute long-term warehouse and distribution strategies aligned with the company's growth and supply chain objectives.
- Oversee and optimize multi-site warehouse operations and the end-to-end distribution network across Thailand.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to enhance operational efficiency, throughput, and agility.
2. Inventory Management & Quality Control
- Ensure strict compliance with FIFO/FEFO principles and maintain end-to-end cold-chain integrity for temperature-sensitive food products.
- Establish robust inventory control mechanisms to guarantee high inventory accuracy and minimize shrinkage, obsolescence, and product wastage.
- Partner with Quality Assurance (QA) to enforce food safety compliance, regulatory requirements, and international standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO).
3. warehouse Efficiency & Cost Optimization
- Devise and implement cost-reduction strategies while maintaining or improving service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage the warehouse operations budget (OPEX/CAPEX), ensuring optimal return on investment (ROI).
4. Team Management & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional warehouse management team.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence across all operational facilities.
- Establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to drive team success.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Operational Efficiency: Cost per case/pallet delivered, warehouse space utilization.
- Quality & Compliance: Cold-chain compliance rate, FEFO/FIFO adherence, food safety audit scores.
- Inventory Control: Inventory Accuracy Rate (IRA), wastage/shrinkage percentage.
- Service Level: On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery rate.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10–12 years of experience in Warehouse & Logistics Management, with at least 5 years in a leadership/Director level.
- Industry Background: Proven experience in the **Food & Beverage, FMCG (Perishable goods), or Cold-Chain logistics** industry is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP (e.g., SAP), and advanced data analytics for logistics.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
- Mobility: Ability and willingness to travel frequently to regional facilities across Thailand.
