Job Description

Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Sector: Manufacturing | Industrial Solutions | Global B2B

Reporting To: Plant / Operations Leadership

THE MANDATE

Axentia Global has been retained on an exclusive basis to identify a high-caliber Warehouse & Logistics Manager for a globally established manufacturing organization operating across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

This role is not transactional. It is operationally critical.

The appointed leader will own end-to-end warehouse and logistics performance for a key Thailand operation, ensuring precision, compliance, cost control, and supply reliability across inbound, storage, and outbound activities.

You will lead transformation not just manage volume.

THE CONTEXT

  • External warehouse footprint: 3,500 sqm
  • International inbound & outbound logistics exposure
  • Complex customs and documentation requirements
  • Cross-functional interface: Procurement, Production, Planning, Finance
  • Continuous improvement agenda underway

This is a role for a disciplined operator with systems thinking and people leadership maturity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Operational Excellence

  • Lead all warehouse operations: receiving, storage, order fulfillment, dispatch.
  • Drive inventory accuracy and space optimization.
  • Oversee inbound/outbound logistics including transportation and customs clearance.
  • Ensure material availability aligned with production schedules.

2. Systems & Controls

  • Implement robust inventory governance and SOPs.
  • Strengthen KPI monitoring (OTIF, inventory accuracy, cycle time, cost per shipment, damage rate).
  • Leverage WMS and ERP systems (experience with Fourth Shift preferred).
  • Implement security and asset protection measures.

3. Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure adherence to Thai regulatory, safety, and international trade compliance standards.
  • Maintain full audit readiness.
  • Govern documentation accuracy for cross-border shipments.

4. People & Capability

  • Lead, coach and develop warehouse teams.
  • Build accountability culture.
  • Drive performance management discipline.
  • Embed Lean and CI principles into daily operations.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
  • Improve logistics visibility and reporting.
  • Support product launches and supply ramp-ups.
  • Collaborate with transport providers and customs brokers to optimize cost and service.

THE PROFILE

We are seeking a seasoned operator who combines structure with agility.

Experience

  • 10+ years in warehousing / logistics leadership within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Proven team leadership experience.
  • Experience managing third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong customs and international freight exposure.

Technical Competence

  • Deep knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Transportation mode knowledge (road, sea, air).
  • ERP/WMS fluency (Fourth Shift advantageous).
  • Lean / Six Sigma exposure preferred.

Leadership Attributes

  • Analytical and KPI-driven.
  • Structured decision maker.
  • Comfortable presenting operational data to senior leadership.
  • Calm under pressure; deadline disciplined.
  • Strong stakeholder management capability.
  • WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 1218 MONTHS)

    • Inventory discrepancies reduced measurably.
    • OTIF improved and stabilized.
    • Warehouse layout optimized.
    • Logistics cost-to-serve benchmarked and reduced.
    • SOP compliance strengthened.
    • Team engagement and retention improved.

    WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

The Thailand operation is strategically important within the regional footprint.

Warehouse and logistics performance directly impacts production continuity, customer satisfaction, and working capital.

This is a role for someone who wants operational ownership not administrative oversight.

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business.
    • Professional certifications (CSCP, CPIM, Lean, Six Sigma) advantageous.
    • Master's degree viewed positively but not mandatory.
