Wastewater Treatment Supervisor

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, control, and supervise daily operations of the wastewater treatment system to ensure efficient and continuous performance.
2. Monitor and control treatment processes (e.g., biological, chemical, and physical systems) to meet discharge standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Analyze wastewater parameters (e.g., pH, COD, BOD, TSS) and adjust system operations to achieve target performance.
4. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of wastewater treatment equipment, machines, and utilities.
5. Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
6. Prepare and maintain operational records, reports, and logs related to system performance and compliance.
7. Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company standards.
8. Implement and follow SOPs, safety procedures, and environmental management practices.
9. Control chemical usage, energy consumption, and operational costs efficiently.
10. Train and supervise operators/technicians to ensure proper system operation and safety practices.
11. Identify opportunities for system improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or related fields.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in wastewater treatment systems or related industrial operations.
3. Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and environmental control systems.
4. Ability to analyze water quality parameters and troubleshoot system issues.
5. Experience in maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment is an advantage.
6. Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or other design tools.
7. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and system diagrams.
8. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
9. Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
10. Knowledge of environmental standards, ISO systems, or safety regulations is a plus.
11. Willingness to work in shifts or on-call if required.
