Our facilities include a centralized Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (IWWTP) and a Potable Water Treatment Plant (WTP) that are critical to the park&aposs operation.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and technical performance of our industrial wastewater and potable water treatment plants. The ideal candidate will ensure our facilities comply with all Thai environmental regulations, operate at peak efficiency, and provide reliable service to our clients within the industrial park.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Operation & Management: Oversee the operation of the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (IWWTP) and Water Treatment Plant (WTP), ensuring treatment processes meet design specifications and output quality standards.
- Technical Supervision: Lead a team of technicians and operators. Schedule and supervise routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment (e.g., pumps, blowers, clarifiers, filtration systems, chemical dosing systems, PLC/SCADA controls).
- Compliance & Reporting: Mornitor daily, weekly, and monthly sampling and analysis of water quality. Prepare and submit all necessary operational reports and ensure strict compliance with Thai government regulations and discharge permits.
- Process Optimization: Continuously monitor plant performance and implement process improvements and optimizations to enhance treatment efficiency, reduce chemical consumption, and lower operational costs.
- Client Liaison: Act as the technical point of contact for industrial tenants regarding their effluent quality, pre-treatment requirements, and water supply issues.
- Budgeting & Inventory: Assist in preparing the annual operational budget. Manage chemical and spare parts inventory.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Enforce and promote a strong safety culture. Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with HSE policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the operation and management of industrial wastewater treatment plants (mandatory). Experience with wastewater from various industries (e.g., chemical, food & beverage, electronics) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with water treatment/potable water plant operations is highly desirable.
- Experience working within an industrial estate or park is a significant advantage.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency is highly preferred to facilitate seamless communication with management, investors, and key stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required for technical reporting and communication within the international team.
- Native proficiency in Thai is required for liaising with local authorities, staff, and vendors.
- In-depth knowledge of biological (e.g., MBR, MBBR, activated sludge) and physico-chemical wastewater treatment processes.
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes (coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection).
- Understand PLC/SCADA control systems and ability to analyze operational data.
- Solid skills in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
