Responsibilities (Obligation To Ensure That The Action Is Taken)

Inspection and/or certification of Intermodal equipment, mainly dry freights, reefers, tanks and intermediate bulk containers during in-service and/or stoppage within but not limited to Singapore.
Attending scheduled inspection requests promptly.
Submit reports, certificates, photographs, timesheet (if required) and other applicable documents in an agreed format or BV reporting format within 2 working days to BV office.
To maintain all issued tools/guides in good operating condition.
To provide excellent quality services to client in order to ensure business sustainability.
To adhere to BV Code of Ethics at all time.

Accountabilities (Answerable to a particular activity/action to a particular entity):

To carry out inspection under the requirements of International Standards and Codes.
Work closely with TLS Manager to ensure business targets are met.
Deliver consistent technical advice to client and identify potential for improvement.
Aiding other junior Inspectors with their inspections / contracts / projects.
Form good working relationships with clients.
Pursue potential new clients and actively seek new businesses.
Understand financial goals of the team and to strongly support it.
Attend client meetings to deliver services according to client requirement and specification.
Able to resolve problems within own work activities.
Proactively manages own work and resolves conflicting issue to meet deadlines without compromising work quality.
Able to identify routine problem and provide professional advice to management or client.
Demonstrate a willingness to adapt and respond to new process or system.

Authorities (Right To Make Decision Or Take An Action)

As the primary client contact to work under own initiative and to seek clarifications where necessary from TLS Manager.

Education

Experience

2 years experience as TLS Inspector level 1 required for candidate with secondary or vocational education
No experience required for BSc/BEng academic holder in a technical branch

In the event TLS Inspector is absent or position left vacant, another TLS Inspector will be designated to cover for his duties as assigned by the TLS Manager.

General working knowledge with hazardous chemicals and MSDS.
Work requires local and overseas travel and may require evening and weekend work.
