Job Summary**

Lumentum International (Thailand) Co. Ltd. is seeking a talented Test Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust test automation solutions for our cutting-edge optical and photonic products. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our hardware throughout its lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities**

Design, develop, and implement automated test software for new product introduction (NPI), primarily using VB.NET, C#, Python, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
Develop and maintain test frameworks, libraries, and tools to streamline the test development process and improve efficiency.
Collaborate closely with other development engineers in Ottawa and Shenzhen.
Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Perform software verification and validation, including unit testing, integration testing, and system-level testing.
Participate in design reviews and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards.
Continuously research and evaluate new test technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance test capabilities.

Job Qualifications**

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
2+ years of experience in test software development, preferably in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
Strong programming skills in VB.NET, C#, Python, SQL, etc.
Additional skill set on AI tool is a plus.
Experience with test equipment automation and instrument control
Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., SCADA, PLC, GPIB, USB, Ethernet, RS-232).
Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
Knowledge of optical and photonic components, systems, or test methodologies is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
Require written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
