To drive proactive sales activities and revenue generation from the Chinese market for Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort and Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel, with a strong focus on developing new business opportunities, maintaining strategic partnerships, increasing market share, and achieving revenue targets.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and implement a proactive sales strategy for the Chinese market to achieve revenue and overall business objectives for both hotels.
Identify and develop new business opportunities from Chinese travel agencies, tour operators, wholesalers, corporate accounts, MICE agencies, luxury travel networks and strategic partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, buyers and influencers within the Chinese travel trade and corporate market.
Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, presentations, site inspections, trade appointments, roadshows and sales missions in Thailand and key Chinese markets.
Develop account plans for key existing and potential accounts, including revenue potential, production history, business opportunities and action plans.
Manage and grow key accounts while continuously prospecting for new accounts to increase market penetration.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, customer behavior and distribution developments within the Chinese market and provide actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with Marketing, Revenue, Reservations, Front Office, Events and other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and client requirements.
Identify opportunities within the MICE and group segment, including corporate meetings, incentives, conferences and events from Chinese clients.
Conduct regular market and account analysis and provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
Develop strong relationships with Chinese-speaking partners, including travel agencies, DMCs, OTA/wholesale partners, corporations and luxury travel advisors.
Ensure all sales activities are aligned with the positioning and commercial objectives of Anantara and Avani+.
Work proactively with the sales team to cross-sell and maximize opportunities across both properties.
Handle complex client negotiations, contracts, rates and commercial agreements within approved guidelines.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of both hotels products, facilities, restaurants, meeting spaces and key selling points.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, Marketing or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably with strong exposure to the Chinese market.
Proven experience in proactive sales, business development and key account management.
Previous experience in a Senior Sales Manager / Sales Manager role within an international luxury or upscale hotel is preferred.
Strong existing network of contacts within the Chinese travel trade, MICE, corporate or luxury travel market will be highly advantageous.
Experience managing multiple market segments and handling complex accounts is preferred.
Fluent in English both written and spoken
Strong business communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Ability to communicate confidently with senior-level clients and international stakeholders.
Knowledge of Chinese business culture, travel behavior and purchasing patterns.
Strong hunter mentality with the ability to generate new business rather than relying solely on existing accounts.
Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, prospect new clients and convert leads into revenue.
Ability to analyze market and sales data and translate insights into commercial actions.
Ability to develop sales plans, account plans and market strategies.
Comfortable working with sales targets, forecasts and performance KPIs.
Highly proactive, energetic and results-oriented.
Commercially minded with strong business acumen.
