About the team

The Account Manager is part of a high-performing local market team focused on providing top-tier marketing services for one of our largest global clients. Reporting to the Operational Team Lead, this role works closely with shopper strategy, creative, production, procurement, and logistics stakeholders to ensure a seamless client experience.

The team plays a central role in delivering Procurement as a Service ensuring transparency, quality, and efficiency across marketing investments. With a focus on retail and shopper activation both on and offline, the Account Manager helps connect strategic priorities with local execution, spanning printed point-of-sale materials, promotional items, and gifting activities in both physical and digital environment.

Purpose of the role

The Account Manager is responsible for coordinating the daily execution of client work, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality delivery across a variety of marketing activations. Acting as a key liaison between client stakeholders and internal teams, they help clarify briefs, manage timelines and budgets, and resolve challenges with composure and professionalism.

This role requires a confident communicator and organiser who is detail-oriented and capable of establishing trusted relationships with stakeholders. The Account Manager position is well suited to someone confident in navigating the operational complexities of POSM and promotional items, with strong communication skills and an organized, service-oriented mindset. They play a vital role in maintaining project momentum, ensuring alignment at every stage, and contributing to a smooth, efficient client experience.

They also serve as the heart of operational deliveryensuring client satisfaction, internal clarity, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of client campaigns, activations from planning through execution across POSM and premiums activity
  • Act as a day-to-day contact for client and internal teams
  • Manage and update project timelines, budgets, and documentation to maintain visibility and control
  • Coordinate with client, supplier and distribution/logistics teams to ensure workstreams are aligned
  • Escalate issues and assist in resolving delivery challenges
  • Assist the Operational Team Lead and Account Director in preparing presentations, reports, and reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with brand, budget, and process standards in all activities
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement in workflow, tools, and client engagement

Skills, knowledge, experience and exposure

  • Minimum 35 years experience in a retail/shopper marketing, client services, or an aggregator agency procurement or delivery execution role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate clearly across stakeholders
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple tasks
  • Commercially aware and able to manage budgets accurately
  • Understanding of retail channels, POSM production, and promotional procurement/logistics is highly valued
  • Familiarity with digital promotions and multi-market campaigns is a plus

Any specific role requirements

  • This is an in-market role and requires the Account Manager to be based in the client's office on a day-to-day basis.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and local market language is mandatory to be able to engage with local clients, colleagues and suppliers where briefs, ordering and reporting may be in one language and quotes sometimes in another.
  • Experience in shopper or retail marketing channels, including POSM and promotional items, is preferred.
  • Experience of working for a globally recognized brand leader is also welcomed.
