About the role
As an Accounting Executive at The Great Room (TGR), you will be responsible for day-to-day operational accounting activities.
A successful Accounting Executive will be responsible for ensuring that all accounting transactions are recorded accurately in the system and funds are disbursed to our external stakeholders on time.
The Accounts Executive will report to the Accounting Manager.
What you'll do
Build our Financial System
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of invoices, receipts and payments etc. into the
accounting system
- Perform reconciliation of receivables, payables and bank balances and ensure
monthly closing at the stipulated deadline
- Preparation of statutory submission obligations such as VAT submissions(PP.30 & PP.36), Withholding tax submissions (PND.3,53 and 54) etc.
- Ensure timely issuance and delivery of tax documents, including tax invoices and withholding tax certificates, in compliance with local regulations (e.g. Thailand's Revenue Department).
- Oversee the preparation and stamping of service agreements in accordance with applicable stamp duty laws (e.g. Thai Stamp Duty Act), coordinating with legal and relevant stakeholders to ensure full compliance.
- Assist in maintaining general ledger (GL) records as assigned.
Collaborate for Excellence
- Handle Petty Cash expenses and reimbursements
- Work closely with other teams such as the Corporate, Sales, Marketing teams etc. to ensure correct invoices received and timely payments to vendors
- Verify external stakeholders details and ensure funds are disbursed to them promptly and in line with TGR's Practice
- Demonstrate a proactive and team-oriented mindset in day-to-day collaboration
Be a Guardian
- Be accountable to the Accounting Manager on all accounting matters of the Office
- Ensure compliance and highlight inconsistency to higher authorities
- Ensure compliance with and provide advice on group treasury/reserves/banking policy and asset Management
Who you are
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience; experience in general ledger (GL) accounting is a plus.
- Understanding of Thai tax regulations including VAT, WHT, and stamp duty practices.
- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with good time management skills.
- Proactive and collaborative attitude, with a strong willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Basic English communication skills (reading/writing).
