Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and fixed assets.
• Prepare GST returns, corporate tax schedules, and statutory reports.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and government authorities.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives, including the implementation and adoption of InvoiceNow (Peppol) and other accounting technologies.
• Work closely with the sales and business development team to identify client needs and recommend suitable accounting and digital invoicing solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain the business benefits of InvoiceNow (Peppol) to prospective clients.
• Support customer onboarding, implementation, and after-sales service for accounting software and e-invoicing solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST, corporate tax, and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting software such as Xero, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar.
• Good understanding of InvoiceNow (Peppol), electronic invoicing processes, and their benefits for businesses in Singapore.
• Sales or business development experience in accounting software, ERP systems, digital solutions, or professional services will be an added advantage.
• Ability to present solutions confidently and engage with customers.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
• Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in accounting firms, software vendors, or digital transformation projects.
• Experience in trading, import & export, manufacturing, or logistics industries.
• Familiarity with accounting software implementation and client training.
• Existing network within the Singapore SME market is an advantage.
