About the Role with Iron Intelligence:
Iron Software is pioneering sovereign artificial intelligence AI solutions for when public AI platforms aren't acceptable due to security, privacy, or personalization requirements. We're building AI that can operate in completely air-gapped environments, access local file systems confidentially, and be trained on a per-team basis while differentiating between public and confidential data.
Our vision spans desktop clients, mobile applications, and enterprise-grade server deployments. We're starting by building our own internal AI assistant before scaling to SMBs and eventually enterprise deployments with dedicated hardware.
We're assembling a small cohort of exceptional junior engineers who will be trained from the ground up in practical AI development.
This isn't just a coding job it's an intensive learning experience where you'll gain hands-on expertise in sovereign AI while shipping real features that will transform how companies handle sensitive data and AI operations.
What You'll Build:
First 6 Months - Internal Prototype: AI assistant for Iron Software's internal use (Every department.)
RAG & LORA systems for document processing, Workflow automation for headhunting, marketing, and financial reporting.
Live coding assistance for users via website and Slack.
Months 6-12 - SMB MV
Desktop and mobile clients
Integration of OS with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other key systems like Slack.
Team and department-specific AI training Models.
Secure file system access controls
Months 12-18 - Enterprise Scale:
Department-level hardware appliances
Air-gapped server deployments (up to 8 rack servers)
Advanced security and personalization features
What We're Looking For:
- Broad-spectrum intelligence We need people who excel across disciplines (technical AND creative thinking)
- Problem-solving - We will be encountering situations where the solution is not available by AI or on Google, and we will have to figure it out for ourselves.
Teamwork - Soft skills matter:
- Exceptional learning ability You'll be learning constantly and need to absorb complex concepts quickly
- Strong coding skills This is fundamentally a programming position
- Research capability Ability to self-learn and solve novel problems
- AI tool mastery Ability to prompt AI effectively and generate spectacular code using AI assistance
Big Advantages (Even if you just have one or some of them):
- The more programming languages, the better
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts (RAG, LoRA, vector databases)
- Experience with any AI tools - or having built custom AI before.
- Experience of consuming and using AI REST APIs.
- Desktop or mobile application development
- TDD and/or unit testing Excellent. Pair programming.
- Understanding of cloud, cloud engineering, Azure, AWS, etc.
- API integration experience (Google Workspace, Microsoft SharePoint) ElasticSearch or similar technologies
- Open source contributions or personal AI projects are significant advantages
- Eagerness to work in small, agile teams, take ownership of tasks, and learn quickly.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of programming experience After graduation. (including academic if Postgrad )
- Fresh graduates with postgraduate degrees in relevant fields considered
- For experienced candidates (3+ years): Fast-track to Team Lead or Engineering Manager role.
