Job Title: Application Support Engineer

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Application Support Engineer to provide technical support for our production systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with public cloud platforms, particularly AWS, as well as expertise in Kubernetes (K8S), MySQL, and Linux environments. The role involves troubleshooting, automating support tasks, and working closely with development teams to ensure seamless system operations and resolve production issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

Provide technical support for production system issues, serving as the primary point of contact for the customer support team.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring that root causes are identified and addressed.

Production Changes:

Execute production changes as needed, ensuring smooth deployment and minimal system downtime.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to improve system supportability.

Automation:

Automate repetitive support tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Contribute to improving overall system stability and supportability through automation initiatives.

Shift Support:

Work in a flexible shift pattern to provide coverage during extended service hours and ensure 24/7 system support.

Required Skills:

Familiarity with production infrastructure (or a willingness to learn).
Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Proficiency with Kubernetes (K8S), MySQL, and Linux environments.
Knowledge of modern application stacks (additional knowledge is a plus).
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience in supporting or troubleshooting critical production infrastructure (or a willingness to learn).
Experience in system administration or development roles, particularly on public cloud platforms.

Experience:

2-4 years of experience in an Application Support Engineer or similar role, with a focus on production environments and cloud technologies.
