Being active owner of an operating company and the assigned group companies to ensure smooth ongoing accounting operations and related internal controls to be in place and properly complied
Independently work with shared service teams (outsourced & overseas group finance)
Being active supporter in all finance-related project implementations including continuous process improvements
Key Responsibilities
Ensure proper fundamental and process of all accounting aspects for ongoing operations
Ensure proper internal controls needed for accounting and finance area
Ensure daily accounting works are done properly (with support from shared service teams)
Prepare month-end closing and monthly financial report for top management's review
Review output and input VAT report including PP30, PP36
Review withholding tax forms (PND 3, 53, 54)
Prepare income tax return (PND 50, 51)
Prepare financial statements on a yearly basis
Liaise with Group Finance and cross-functional teams
Liaise with external auditors on interim and year-end audit
Liaise with internal auditors on internal control compliance
Deal with government agencies to ensure compliance with regulations
Cooperate with other functions to build awareness of tax regulations, accounting principles, and internal controls to be complied with
Prepare various reports as required by management
Other ad-hoc assignments
Qualifications
Master or Bachelor of Accounting, Finance or any related field
3-5 years of experience in general ledger and reporting functions in retail business
Experience in accounting system implementation and MNC is advantage
CPA with audit background from big-4 audit firm is a must
Proven 3-5-year experience as Assistant Accounting Manager or Accounting Supervisor in area of general ledger and reporting functions
Extensive knowledge in accounting fundamentals
Proficient in use of accounting software
Result-oriented and commercial perspective
Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to balance multiple priorities and manageable for volume of transactions
Be initiative, self-starter, and able to work with under high-pressure and complexity
