Assistant Finance Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full spectrum of the Finance and Accounting department.
• Ensure timely submission and reporting of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Oversee treasury functions including cash flow and banking operations.
• Handle inventory management and costing, including stock control and valuation.
• Manage accounts receivable and credit control processes.
• Implement effective cost control measures to minimize wastage.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and projections.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including taxation matters.
• Implement and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Liaise with government authorities such as Customs, MIDA, and Statistics Department.
• Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and financial reporting.
• Support Group Financial Controller in group reporting and related assignments.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting or equivalent; ACCA certification is preferred.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge in taxation, costing, and handling full sets of accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Audit experience is an added advantage.
