We're looking for the Assistant Finance Manager to oversee daily finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. The role involves supervising transactional activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and assisting in financial analysis and reporting in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and overseeing day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including AP, AR, billing, collections, and payments.
  • Review and supervise daily finance transactions such as document verification, data entry, invoice issuance, collections, and payment processing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables, coordinate with clients and brokers, and ensure timely collection and proper allocation of payments.
  • Review bank reconciliations, premium received reconciliations, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee petty cash disbursements, including review of supporting documents and reconciliation.
  • Maintain and review general ledger accounts by verifying and posting accounting transactions.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial data and business trends.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Coordinate with external parties, including insurers, auditors, vendors, and outsourced accounting service providers (e.g. B-Accounting).
  • Support the improvement of finance processes, internal controls, and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior finance staff as assigned.
  • Perform other duties related to finance and accounting as required to support business operations.

Qualifications

  • Education Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
