Job Summary :
The Associate Director, Corporate Communication is responsible for developing and executing strategic internal and external communication plans to strengthen corporate branding, including media relations, issues, and crisis communication. Leads employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice and provides strategic oversight and supervision for CSR and employee engagement. Additionally, the role oversees consumer communication, particularly in cases of escalated product complaints with potential media or reputational impact.
Accountabilities :
External communication
- Closely work with the VP, Corporate Affairs to develop the corporate communication strategy and action plan, including issue and crisis communication management.
- Effectively develop and implement external communication activities, with a focus on PR and media relations across both owned and earned media, to drive corporate branding and enhance the company's reputation.
- Strategically manage the corporate communication budget to ensure efficient allocation of resources across key activities.
- Oversee and supervise the Consumer Communication Senior Manager to ensure effective handling of product quality complaints and provide support in cases that escalate to media attention.
- Work closely with the P&C team to deliver employer branding through PR activities, helping attract top talent and strengthen the company's image as an employer of choice.
Internal Communication
- Develop and implement a strategic internal communication strategy and action plan, including crafting compelling core narratives and key messages that reinforce the company's purpose, vision, and culture.
- Lead and manage top-level internal communication platforms, including company Townhalls, CEO messages, and leadership communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and strong leadership visibility across the organization.
- Provide strategic oversight and supervision of the development and execution of ongoing internal communication materials and activities (e.g., newsletters, internal content, and engagement initiatives) through the direct report to ensure quality, alignment, and impact.
CSR and Employee Engagement
- Provide strategic direction, governance, and oversight of execution to direct reports to ensure alignment with corporate strategy, values, and reputational objectives.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, or a related field; master's degree in marketing communication is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate communication within the FMCG industry.
- Strong communication, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to manage both external and internal communication effectively.
- Ability to interact confidently with senior management, media and external stakeholders.
- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in social media communication, including content planning, engagement, and reputation management.
- A strong understanding of issue and crisis communication, with experience managing sensitive or high-impact situations across media channels, is preferred.
- Good at presentations, event moderation, and public speaking.
- Strong creative thinking, content creation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Be a strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail coupled with strong multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently under pressure, while thriving in fast-paced and high-demand environments.
- Demonstrates resilience, a strong team spirit, and a proactive work ethic.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva.
- Fluent in both English and Thai, with excellent writing and speaking skills.
