Job Description

Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for managing coaches and trainers and focus on uplifting capability across partners sales teams as well as developing new operating models to support partners physically and virtually.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Capability Development

  • Define and lead the overall Sales Capability Strategy for Partnership Distribution (PD), with a strong focus on uplift of bank sellers, insurance specialists, and PD sales teams to support growth objectives.
  • Design and implement long‑term capability roadmaps, including sales effectiveness frameworks, competency development, digital capability adoption, and learning pathways aligned with PD and bank partners business priorities.
  • Partner with partner's management team (e.g., Head of Retail, Bancassurance/Wealth Management leaders, Regional Directors, Operations and Sales Management) to co‑develop integrated capability plans that strengthen seller productivity, conversion quality, and customer experience.

Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across partner banks to influence capability agendas and ensure alignment with partnership goals.
  • Lead field engagement including bank branch visits, performance reviews, pipeline discussions, recognition events, and training activities to support target delivery.

Team Leadership & People Development

  • Lead the PD Sales Capability team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management to ensure high execution standards.
  • Manage talent development, succession planning, and competency enhancement for the capability team.
  • Create a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Program Development & Execution Excellence

  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, Compliance, Operations, Digital, Learning & Development) to design and deliver robust capability uplift programs including sales coaching, onboarding, certification, digital learning, and specialized skill development.
  • Own the end‑to‑end design, development, and enhancement of all Sales Capability Programs for partnership channels.
  • Ensure program quality, regulatory alignment, and consistency across partners and sales channels.

Performance & Insights-Driven Management

  • Analyze sales productivity, behavioral data, and capability metrics to identify key gaps in skills, processes, and adoption.
  • Use insights to design corrective actions, training interventions, and targeted capability activation to improve seller effectiveness and sales quality.
  • Track and report capability impact on business performance, highlighting ROI and improvement initiatives to senior management.

Operational Excellence & Governance

  • Oversee operational execution of capability programs, ensuring timely delivery, resource utilization, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead new initiatives and strategic projects that enhance PD capability, productivity, and competitiveness in partnership channels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in Bancassurance, Banking, or Insurance Sales Management with 3 years of experience in Management
  • Deep understanding of bancassurance industry
  • Strong sales management, stakeholder management, and people management skills
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and facilitation skills.
  • IC / IP or Financial club (CFP / AFPT) are preferrable
