Job Description
Job Summary:
The AVP, Corporate Sustainability will play a pivotal role in driving UOB (Thai) Public Company Limited's sustainability agenda, ensuring alignment with global best practices and local regulatory requirements. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring sustainability strategies across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute UOB (Thai)s corporate sustainability strategy, aligned with the bank's overall business objectives and values.
2. Identify, assess, and manage environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities relevant to the banking sector in Thailand.
3. Lead the preparation and submission of sustainability reports (e.g., GRI, TCFD, SASB) and other disclosures, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
4.Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Risk, Compliance, Business Units, HR) to embed sustainability principles into operations and decision-making processes.
5. Monitor and analyze key sustainability performance indicators (KPIs) and report on progress to senior management and relevant committees.
6. Stay abreast of emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices in the financial industry, both globally and within Thailand.
7. Engage with external stakeholders, including regulators, investors, NGOs, and industry associations, on sustainability-related matters.
8. Support the development and implementation of sustainable finance products and services.
9. Organize and conduct training and awareness programs to promote a culture of sustainability within the organization.
Job Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate sustainability, ESG, or a related field, preferably within the financial services industry.
3. Strong understanding of international sustainability frameworks and reporting standards (e.g., GRI, TCFD, SASB, UN SDGs).
4. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
6. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in English and Thai (both written and spoken).
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
9. Proven track record of driving positive change and achieving measurable results in sustainability.
