Job Summary
BDC is looking for an experience Building Manager to be based in our Chonburi Data Centre. The role leads and manages 24x7 critical data center operations, acting as the subject matter expert across electrical, mechanical, and operational systems while ensuring safety, uptime, and compliance with customer SLAs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage critical data center operations, overseeing a 24x7 engineering team to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of all infrastructure systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert in electrical, mechanical, and operational practices, ensuring operational excellence, uptime, and adherence to customer SLAs.
- Drive operational standards by developing and implementing SOPs, EOPs, MOPs, and change management workflows, including LOTO procedures.
- Oversee maintenance and system modifications, ensuring optimal performance of critical facilities such as ACMV, chillers, UPS, HT switchgear, generators, fire detection/suppression, lighting, and building management systems.
- Lead incident management and emergency response, coordinating with internal teams and vendors to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis and prevention
- Manage vendor performance by ensuring proper training, qualification, and compliance with site standards.
- Develop strategic plans for annual maintenance, capital upgrades, and infrastructure improvements to enhance the facility's future capabilities.
- Foster a high-performing team, identifying training needs, tracking performance, and coaching.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, providing timely reporting, and ensuring satisfaction with operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders, such as EHS managers, to identify hazards, implement safety measures, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data center operations and critical operations management; experience in hyperscale data center campuses is a strong advantage.
- At least 3 years of people management experience, with a proven track record of leading teams of 5 or more in O&M environments.
- Strong technical knowledge with hands-on experience in risk management and critical systems operations, including HVAC, standby power, UPS, and related infrastructure.
- Good knowledge of local laws that govern facility engineering equipment operation and maintenance, including safety and environment protection
- Proficient in both English and Thai, with the ability to prepare and review high-quality, detailed reports.
- Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles, forecasting, and budget development.
- Proficient with CMMS, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and familiar with DCIM platforms (an added advantage).
- Possession of a Certified Data Centre Facilities Operations Manager (CDFOM) certification or similar credentials is a significant advantage.
