Business Analyst

Position: Business Analyst

Understands business needs, customer journeys, and processes and translates them into clear, actionable requirements and user stories that enable Squad teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Works closely with business and technology stakeholders, applying analytical thinking, learning agility, technology aptitude, FDE principles and AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, collaboration, and speed and quality of delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with business users, Product Owners, developers, QA, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs, problems, and expected outcomes.
• Elicit, analyze, and translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, and user journeys.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and align business and technology teams.
• Analyze end-to-end business processes and customer journeys to identify gaps, impacts, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with development and QA teams throughout the delivery lifecycle to clarify requirements and support testing, defect resolution, and solution validation.
• Support backlog refinement, requirement prioritization, impact analysis, and delivery planning within an Agile environment.
• Apply FDE principles by working closely with users and technology teams to rapidly understand problems, shape practical solutions, and iteratively refine requirements based on feedback.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools for requirement analysis, user-story refinement, process analysis, documentation, test-scenario preparation, and knowledge discovery to improve productivity and delivery quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in banking, financial services, or technology-related projects.
• Strong experience in requirements elicitation and analysis, with the ability to create clear user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, and user journeys.
• Experience working in Agile environments and good understanding of SDLC and cross-functional technology delivery.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• High learning agility and technology aptitude, with the ability to quickly understand new business domains, systems, and technologies.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence; exposure to Figma, Miro, or equivalent tools is desirable.

FDE & AI-ENABLED BUSINESS ANALYSIS

• Good understanding of Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) principles, with the ability to collaborate closely with users, Product Owners, and technology teams to shape and iteratively refine practical solutions.
• Good understanding of AI and Generative AI technologies, with the ability to identify and apply relevant AI capabilities to support business solutions and improve BA productivity.
• Ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Claude, or equivalent tools in BA activities.
• Ability to apply effective prompting techniques and critically review, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for accuracy, completeness, and business relevance.
• Understanding of responsible and secure AI usage, including data privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, security, and organizational policies.

ADDITIONAL / PREFERRED

• Experience in Banking / Financial Services, particularly Lending or Loan Processing, is an advantage.
• Understanding of APIs, system integration, data flows, database concepts, or modern application architecture is advantageous.
• Exposure to Design Thinking, UX/UI, customer journey design, or rapid prototyping is an advantage.
• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, or Agentic AI is advantageous.
• Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum, or related certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
