IT BUSINESS ANALYST
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, including Operations, Compliance, Finance, Customer Service, and Technology teams, to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
- Translate business needs, regulatory requirements, and operational processes into clear functional specifications and user stories for the development team.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and user experience through system enhancements.
- Support regulatory and compliance initiatives by ensuring system enhancements align with SEC, AMLO, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Prepare and maintain business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications (FSD), process flows, use cases, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, issue tracking, and sign-off.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, manage requirement changes, and coordinate issue resolution to ensure timely delivery.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business users and the Technology team to ensure solutions meet business objectives and operational needs.
- Provide production support by investigating business issues, performing impact analysis, and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing business performance, user feedback, and operational data to recommend future enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar role within the securities, banking, financial services, or fintech industry.
- Strong experience in business requirement gathering, process analysis, documentation, and solution design.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and project delivery processes.
- Experience preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FSD), process flows, and user stories.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.
- Knowledge of securities brokerage operations, customer onboarding, KYC/CDD, AML, transaction monitoring, or back-office systems is an advantage.
- Understanding of SEC, AMLO, and other financial regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools is an advantage.
